Walter VERREYDT
Walter Verreydt made his first instruments in 1985. As a woodworking teacher and a music lover, it was a logical step to his interest in the construction of musical instruments.
His passion for the sound of the classical guitar drove him to guitar making.
From the start, Walter had the opportunity to study the work of renowned guitar makers such as Bouchet, Fleta, Hernandez-Aguado, and others. He also had good contacts with eminent guitar makers like Daniel Friedrich and José Romanillos. This was a rich source of information. In Granada, he got acquainted with the elegant and refined South Spanish guitar-making tradition.
From 1988 to 2020 Walter taught Classical guitar making at the Centrum voor Muziekinstrumentenbouw in Puurs (Belgium).
The guitars are handmade in the Spanish tradition and his craftsmanship is second to none.
